In Isaiah 51 and Isaiah 55, God says that His salvation comes only through one source, to which He sometimes refers as His "arm" or "arms", referring to the, then, forthcoming physical embodiment of His Messiah on Earth who would live and work among humanity. In the Old and New Testament times, before there were ever any "Christians" there were many people among the Jews, and among other people and nations around the world, who looked for the coming of God's Redeemer, as we see in Matthew Chapters 1 through 3 and in Luke 1 through 4.
In Matthew 7, Luke 13, and John 14:6, Jesus very pointedly addresses all those who would try to find another way to pay for, avoid admitting, or excuse their sin, or who might seek to work their way, around Christ, to God (which cannot be done unless one obeys and performs absolutely 100% of every single rule and function of God's Law everywhere and always). Why did Jesus state all that so exclusively? Because, as God in the flesh (also see Isaiah 7 and 8), He already set the perfect plan of redemption in place before the world was ever made; because He always knew that we human beings would need to be saved from our sin and our sinful choices.
Finally, all the scriptural promises were fulfilled that ushered in Jesus Christ (God's Messiah for which the world had been watching for thousands of years). As THE Messiah, in Luke 16:19-31, Jesus very pointedly warns both rich and poor alike of the coming shock that some will experience (after they die) about the exclusivity of God's salvation, that it is a one lifetime offer, never to be repeated to each human being. We get one opportunity right here and right now, to choose to repent of our sin before God, and then in faith to accept and receive the only Christ that God already foretold, and has already sent, to redeem us. IF we reject or neglect His offer then we have no one to blame but ourselves for the eternal suffering that we shall bring upon ourselves.
On the other hand, IF we elect and choose to repent of our sin and believe on and receive Jesus Christ by faith, then we have only Him to thank for making the way of salvation possible for us. Because we are not good (see Psalms and Romans), what every single one of us deserves is to spend eternity in torment, first in Hell until the Last Judgment, and then be cast into the Lake of Fire in eternal damnation. What God offers us in Jesus Christ is life eternal, under the blood of Christ, free in Him to learn and grow in our obedience to God in Christ Jesus. Because of our "repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ", we are gifted by God, welcomed into His family, sealed with His Holy Spirit for eternity, and given a home of peace and joy with Him forever.
Reading the first three chapters of Genesis, from the very beginning of humanity, we can clearly see that God has offered His guidance and exclusive redemption to human beings. Thusly, God has manifested Himself throughout all Creation for every observant and concerned soul to see. The choice is up to you and me where we spend our eternal lives, in Heaven with Jesus, rejoicing in His fellowship and presence, or without Christ, by ourselves, in torment in the Lake of Fire. Religion or religiosity are NOT the solution. Besides the holy purchase price of our souls, which was the sinless blood and life of Jesus, God's Christ, no one else can buy our way into God's family or kingdom. Please choose God's only Savior and His only plan of salvation before it's too late.

13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. [ed. Mammon is when we make greed into our false god, allowing that to rule our lives.]
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 And he said unto them,
Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Wouldn't it be nice to choose to be at peace with the one real God, and rely on His salvation, instead of being filled with lust and discontent?

Luke 15:11-3211 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
Wouldn't you, right now, love to repent of your sin and have that burden lifted and forgiven? Wouldn't you love to return with your whole heart and mind to accept and be restored to Jesus Christ, our God and Creator, so that you can enjoy sweet fellowship and work with Him for the rest of your life and for all eternity?

Luke 14:7-147 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,
8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
God says these things because His plan of salvation and living are NOT the same as what we humans think we need to do to be saved from our sin or how to live godly lives.

23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
God offers only one plan of salvation to humanity, and God's plan of salvation is only through God's Christ, Jesus.

One of the most noticeable things about living in subjection to short term lusts is that the immediate satisfaction is exactly that. Short. There is never any long term sense of accomplishment when we continually indulge in short term lustful pursuits, AND we begin to addict ourselves to seeking increasingly more stimulating variations of that same lustful theme, whether a bouncier piece of music, a fancier preparation of our favorite food, a different sex partner, another spouse, different shoes, clothing, handbags, cars, and the list goes on as long as human lust itself, for we all lust after many many things. What or whomever was once the object of our lust is now our trash or tag sale item or our divorcee. We treat people and things with the same idolatrous passions, both to attain and posses them, and then to dispose of them, often with disdain or disgust, once our lust is spent upon them. We welcome and allow our fickle lust to delude us and lead us wherever it wants... UNLESS we exercise godly self-control.
In our modern culture in these United States of America, we are almost totally obsessed with sex. Sexual obsession is the holes in the 'swiss cheese' of our culture, for there is only the contrast of appearances and no substance to the lust for sexual gratification, in and of itself. Yet, we see it in the way most people dress, whether at the beach or on the news anchor desk, whether at the movies or in the movies. Today, most men are far more modestly dressed than most women and girls in our society, but even the men often display themselves in unholy ways to pad their egos or show off their 'stuff'. I've been as guilty of these things, too, so I'm not saying that I'm any less of a sinner than anyone else. What provokes me and most men in our day is the 'fashion' trends that women so ignorantly or willfully pursue, thinking or claiming that "it's just fashion".
Let me illustrate. In the 1960s I was stationed with the US Army in Alabama. While there, the miniskirt hit the streets of the USA and crept into the Bible Belt. While some will think the following is amusing, others will understand the gravity of what I'm saying. I was driving my car along the main road on the base and following a string of cars approaching a traffic light. All was well until I noticed an attractive young woman walking in the same direction as the car was travelling. Her dress modestly covered her top, but from the belt down there were only a few inches more of fabric than the belt width. That fringe of fabric barely covering 'you know what'. Riveted by the sight and excited by it, as were my passengers, I bumped the taxi cab in front of me as he stopped for the traffic light. Thank God that my foot was already on the brake and that no one was hurt, but the problem was evident. The shock of seeing a woman bare herself publically, in that manner, caused a me to run my car into another vehicle, something I had never done as a driver. That sort of sexual immodesty is prevalent to a far greater degree today.
Today, we have thong 'bathing suits', in which men and women expose themselves sexually at the beach, pools, and other venues. Many of them would, rightly, be embarrassed to walk out of their houses in those revealing things or in their underwear, but, when water or sunbathing are the focus, those same people excuse their immodesty and nakedness by any means they can.
Innumerable times, I've seen women or girls in short skirts, belly tops, skin tight jeans, open blouses, scant 'bathing suits', breast revealing tops, or genital revealing yoga/sports pants, all too frequently they are desperately adjusting the scant clothing to try to minimize their bodily exposure, or they gasp when 'something' pops out or is uncovered, suddenly being fully exposed. Who are those girls and women kidding? They bought the clothes, knowing how they fit. They put on those clothes, knowing how they fit. They wore the clothes out in public, knowing how they fit. Now either those women and girls are totally ignorant, or they are deceiving themselves, or else they deliberately are trying to provoke a sexual interest or response from someone out in public. Obviously, fashion trends of skimpy or sexually revealing clothing are NOT the friend of a girl's or woman's sense of privacy, security, or modesty, and definitely contrary to godly living. Lust is the way of the world, and so is fashion chasing.
Men are 'wired', by God, to look at women, in order to find a life mate. Whether peekaboo style, skimpy attire, or through clingy fabric, when girls and women expose their intimate parts, they provoke men and boys to look at their intimate parts. Period. That is the truth, whether anyone wants to hear it or not.
The question is NOT why men and boys look. The question is why girls and women get upset when boys and men look or say something about the way the girls and women are dressing, or when the boys or men want to act on the open visual presentation and public invitation that the girls and women are presenting of their intimate parts. Why would any girl or woman want to be known and observed publically for the appearance of her intimate body parts instead of for her modesty and moral character, or her productive and social accomplishments, or her dedication and fidelity, or her love of God and His Word? In this lost and dying world, we are sliding rapidly past the violence and lusts of Sodom and Gomorrah, into the world of utter depravity that pervaded the world before the Great Flood in which God only saved Noah and his family of eight. People may do what they choose behind closed doors, or they can argue all they want about the merits or lack thereof of publically exposing one's intimate parts. But, God says there's a payday for our lustful lack of modesty. Flaunting one's private parts in public is either an open invitation for sexual encounters or an attempt to exert sexual power over others in order to manipulate others. There is only one way out of sin and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ. Repent, before it's too late. Repent.

1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Here is God's biblical way for us to learn how to test ourselves and to find His salvation.
Tuesday, October 3, 2017
However, God has clearly said throughout His Word that there is only one way to peace, and that that is through His Word (the Bible) and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. If we choose to ignore or disobey the Christ of God and the Word of God, then we shall have separated ourselves from the Truth from God. Remember that, even as Satan questioned God and His Word in the Garden of Eden, by our refusal, denial, or ignoring of the Truth of God, we leave ourselves on the side of evil, for though He made us, yet He waits for us to choose Him and His salvation, in place of our lust for sin.
In this vain, fearful, "Political Correctness" driven world, almost no one wants or dares to address the anti-God, anti-Christ ecumenical pressures that are striving to unite all world religions into an amalgam of people that bow increasingly to false gods in order to "get along", so that individuals and their families can go on their unholy self-interested ways, while continuing in their daily practices that deny, ignore, and reject God's Ways. Remember God's warning about our lust for "peace and safety".
Though He never used the word "ecumenicism" in the Scriptures, Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of God's only plan of salvation, the Lord of Love, Creator and Lord of All Creation, spoke often against the underlying tenets of ecumenicism, and one of His clearest statements is in,
51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
That statement by Christ Jesus leaves each of us with only one choice between the only two options that God allows, either we choose to stand with God according to His Truth or else we have chosen to stand against Him. Even saying that we refuse to make a choice IS a way of covering our eyes and ears and hardening our hearts and minds, as we choose to passively or actively oppose the LORD and His Ways.
Just like electing to flip or not flip a light switch, we must consciously, personally, and deliberately turn from our wicked ways, repent, and seek the LORD of lords while He may yet be found; while He still offers us His salvation. Choosing salvation is a personal choice that no one else can do for anyone, nor can any human being or organization do it for you at any age. I can't do it for you. Your parents or friends can't do it for you. No religion nor religious person can do it for you. Asking for and accepting God's salvation is a one-time deliberate personal decision to which God has called you or is calling you. By accepting and calling upon Jesus Christ you step, from being lost in spiritual darkness forever, into God's light of salvation in Christ Jesus; from walking deliberately or blindly with Satan, stepping into the holy life of learning to walk and grow in the salvation that God gives us in Jesus Christ, BUT none of us is saved from our sin UNTIL and only after we accept salvation on God's terms.
Only one Person and Power in all of Creation secured salvation for you and me: by His sinless life as God in human flesh, by His sufferings, blood, death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus Christ accomplished that for us because He loves us. It is now up to you, alone, to choose this precious gift that Jesus, alone, offers to you; His love gift to you. This one earthly life in this one human body is the only opportunity that you and I shall ever have to be born again of the Spirit of Christ, according to His Word (not according to man-made religion or philosophy). Remember that while Jesus walked among us and ministered to us those thousands of years ago, although people followed Him for His miracles and to get fed, in the end, they all rejected and abandoned Him. Even the apostles let Him down because of their sin nature, and so we learn how sinful even the most spiritually minded are among us.
Based on Christ's criticisms of the religious leaders of His day, and the fickleness of the people who followed Jesus, do not assume that a particular religion or group is 'for you', even if that religion/group appears harmonious, pretty, joyful, friendly, has lots of gatherings, buildings, programs, retreats, followers, or appears to love and welcome visitors or joiners. Things that beckon to our longings and weaknesses shall most likely NOT lead us to, but, instead, away from the sanctuary to which God would have us seek. None of those things, above, are the standards by which Jesus tested the religions of His day. Those things are NOT the standards by which the Word of God tells us to "judge righteous judgment" of all things, today, especially with regard to religion and spiritual life. Our judgment must begin with judging ourselves.
God shall hold each of us personally responsible for whether we have personally chosen to sift out the worldly lies from His Truth, in our lives and from what other people and religions present to us (regarding our need to choose salvation, as opposed to thinking that someone else might be able to take care of that for us). We must remember that whether we are young or old, healthy or sick, rich or poor, "God is no respecter of persons". Let us NOT deceive ourselves. For, if we do not choose Him and His salvation while we yet live here on Earth, then, once our bodies die there shall never be another time for the salvation of our spirit, in all eternity. For, "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment".

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying,
The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
IF you are NOT 100% certain (according to the Bible) that you are born again of the Spirit of Christ, and 100% biblically guaranteed a home in Heaven with Jesus Christ (as the Bible says, in "repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ"), then I invite and urge you to investigate and trust Jesus Christ and His Salvation above and beyond anything else.

15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
What am I yearning for? Godliness? or worldly acclaim and riches? We see so little of the first and so much of the latter around us. We try to keep up with one another in our lusts and pursuits, instead of measuring ourselves by what God calls us to do with our lives. We strive for earthly success and feel only a temporary gain or peace when we achieve earthly goals. God says that there is only one kind of real success and there's only one way to achieve it. To start on the road to godly success, we need to understand our own needs that go far beyond food or shelter. Our most urgent needs in life are repentance and faith according to God's way of doing things. The choice is ours and the payday is ours. Decisions! Decisions! Decisions! Please consider that there are only two choices that God gives us. I want to see you there rejoicing in the LORD and our Savior in glory. May you be open to God's workings that He gives to us to help us choose His way for our lives.

37 And as he [ed. Jesus] spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.
39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?
41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.
42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.
44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.
45 Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
46 And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.
52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:
54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.
The truth is that we need to repent of our sins and embrace God's Truth, for He only uses the word 'success' once in the whole Bible.

29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
As I read that passage, I was struck by the degree of the effects of my sin from day to day; that each of my sins directly obstructs the Light of Christ from wholly filling my life and shining out to reach others. It is each and every one of my sin's shadows that obscure the message of God's salvation in Christ when I try to convey it to others who need Him. I may not realize the effect at that time, but as the Bible says, in Numbers 32:23, "...be sure your sin will find you out." Thus it is with the shadows of our sins that obstruct the Light of God that He wants filling our lives and enlightening the lives of those around us. As He says in, Matthew 7 and Luke 6, about the mote and the beam (a wooden splinter versus a large beam), we cannot judge righteously nor see correctly to help others if we are bearing greater sin in our own lives than what error there is in another person's life. It is the same principle of learning to get our own lives right with God by way of His only plan of salvation and through His only Savior; learning to clean up our own house sufficiently before we go forth to try to assist others to remove the same sins as ours from their lives. May we closely attend to the counsel of the LORD GOD Almighty in this and all matters.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Luke 11:27-2827 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
If you have not yet made peace with God according to HIS plan of salvation, then I beg of you to do so without wasting another moment. Look here for the beginning of the road of faith, repentance, salvation, and sanctification.

Luke 8:4-21 4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
19 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.
20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

Satan and the devils recognize Jesus Christ as the One True God that Jesus is, but most people fail to recognize or accept this eternal truth.
Here are five links to help us see God's truth about this, for our acceptance or rejection of God's Christ, Jesus, will not only be our choice to make, but by our choice we shall also determine where we will have chosen to spend our lives in eternity.
Who is Jesus, really?
What does God expect of us?
What do I choose to do with this information?

Worldly freedom is nice, affording us an attempt to try to do better in this life than our forebears did, when under the thumb of some other form of human government that they did not like. But, then, humans being are not really all that enthusiastic about being governed by anyone. Are we? Unless the system that we are in is immediately advantageous to us, it seems that no matter where people are, and no matter how well off we are, we always seem to find something about which to complain about our form of government, or the leaders who are in power at any given time in history. THAT is our true natural side showing its ugly head.
Our dissatisfaction with those in authority over us is rooted in our lack of surrender to God, to His Christ, and to His Word, for a sinful lack of gratitude toward God lies at the root of all our rebellion against those whom God has allowed to rise to power. That does NOT mean that those in authority have free rein to abuse the power and responsibility that has been handed to them. We must remember that God holds them accountable for all their actions, even as He holds us accountable. They may seem to get away with all sorts of vile things, but read Psalm 37 and Psalm 73, as well as Romans 1 and James 4, to begin to understand how we get ourselves into trouble with God and each other, and know that neither the victim nor the violator shall escape God's righteous judgment. In the end of all things, for righteous victims, God's judgment shall be a salve, while for those who violate others in any way, God's judgment shall be a scourge. We must first judge ourselves by God's Word, the Bible, and repent of our own sin, lest we must try to act as if we were sinless as we start throwing stones at other people.
In order to understand and live in true godly independence we must make our peace with God's Christ, even as the Bible says. Repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ are the simultaneous first real steps toward independence that we must take. If we reject God's call to repentance and faith in His Solution, we may live comfortably in this life, but we shall surely perish eternally tormented in the next. For those who surrender to God's government of their lives, though we may suffer all sorts of things in this life, yet, our sufferings end with physical death as we are translated into His presence to live forever in His blessings.

We are in troubling times, for sure, as we near the "last days" of which the Bible speaks. God and his Bible have forewarned us that human kindness and self-sacrificing love would grow increasingly cold as we approach the end of the era of human government.
In our present day, and historically, for many decades, we have seen rapidly increasing terrorism, substance and interpersonal abuse, murder, robbery, assault, flagrant exhibitionism of our bodies in the name of personal choice, whoredom and other immoral solicitation, self-willed verbal vomit posing as free speech, rampant self-justifying male and female homosexuality, financial manipulations that steal people's life savings, self-indulgent behaviors that trammel the natural rights of other people, road rage, interpersonal bitterness and hatred, people abandoning their families for personal pleasures, wars scattered all over the globe, and reporting media that favors "political correctness" over godly truth. We have seen sin become categorized into numerous levels of 'badness'. We have seen criminalized sins even categorized into whether they are 'hate crimes' or 'only' illegal crimes.
How stupid are we? Really!! ALL crimes are hateful against the human victims! ALL sin is hateful against God. AND, that includes crimes and sins against ourselves because we damage ourselves EVERY time that we sin. It is NOT a human right to choose to sin. But, it is definitely a human free will choice whenever we choose to sin and thereby damage this special creation that God has made us to be.
God's Bible talks about the last days, and the signs of those times, and yet, the Bible also talks about the longest running war in history that has brought us to the 'last times'. How did we get here, into this present maelstrom of sin, in spite of all the spiritualism, ecumenicism, and evolutionism that, lying, tell us that we are getting better than our ancestors?
God's Bible says that Lucifer asserted himself against God, and delusionally thought he'd become like God. For that arrogance and rebellion, Lucifer was cast down to the Earth and renamed Satan, taking 1/3 of the angels with him when they rebelled with him. Having been exposed as the troublemaker that he is, Satan went on to instigate humanity to sin against God... and Eve and Adam went along with Satan's suggestion to sin, even as we do, now! So, now, whether in quiet or open rebellion against God, there are Satan, the fallen angels (demons), and humanity, with all of us exercising our free will to sin against the one true righteous and holy God who created us all. THIS is the longest running war, the war of sin.
The ONLY real question and objective in life that will matter for all eternity is whether we shall have chosen to believe and act upon God's ONLY plan for saving us for eternity, in the manner that God says we need to act. It is NOT about how tolerant we are. It is NOT about how nice we are. It is NOT about whether we feed the poor, or go to "the right church", or belong to the "right religion", or live in poverty and suffering our whole lives, or vote for the 'right' person for an elected office, or whether we feel good or not. God sees who we really are and what we really think and do. He knows our motivations better than we do. We MUST deal with our sin that we choose to commit against Him, and we must deal with sin the way that God says. If we fail to choose and obey His way then we condemn ourselves to a conscious eternity outside the fellowship of God, and shall suffer, consciously, in eternal damnation. Remember, we are the ones who choose that lonely, dark, hot, miserable, thirsty existence in hell and then the lake of fire. We cannot blame God. We cannot blame those who tried to lead us into sin. It will have been our own choice to disregard God's warnings about eternal death, and for disregarding His invitation to eternal life.
I have said all that to bring up the increasingly popular ecumenical movement that is creeping about our world, as it tries to deceive the whole world into abiding in lies and doctrines that will undermine the spiritually ignorant and weak, and lead them all, like sheep, into the fires of hell. There are a few verses in Scripture in which God uses the phrase "whole world", and we need to study those for ourselves to see their meaning and importance, to fully understand what is God's truth and what are the lies of the world and false religions, no matter what those promulgators of lies may call themselves. Let us not forget that even at the beginning of the church the Apostles warned that there were false doctrine, false prophets, and false believers among them. That was an urgent call to compare everything that they had heard, from anyone, by the truth of the Scripture that God gave them.
Over and over, the Bible warns us that we CANNOT join lies to truth and end up with anything other than lies that seek to corrupt the truth. Trying to join unbiblical ideologies and practices to biblical Christianity yields nothing more than false religion. The Old Testament prophets warned against ecumenicism. Jesus Christ warned against ecumenicism. The Apostles warned against ecumenicism. Those who are fooled into joining with ecumenicism shall earn what they deserve, even as Revelation points out. I've listed the only places in the Bible where the phrase "whole world" is used. Sometimes God uses "whole world" in positive ways, BUT, in referring to ecumenicism, God's Revelation shows that that is NOT something He wants. As the Romans used to say, "Caveat emptor."... that is, 'Buyer beware.' When lies are joined to truth it only corrupts the truth; it does NOT improve the lies.
