Why Call Evil Good? God Doesn't Do That

In these latter days or decades of human self-governance, we have all too frequently made excuses for sin, and we have pushed away God's truth, in which He defines sin and elaborates on the consequences of unrepented sin in our lives. Too many times people call sin good, excusing it. Those same confused or rebellious people also tend to call good things an abomination. It seems that they only want what they want, and they want nothing to do with the absolutes of which God speaks in His eternal Word, the Bible.

Please take a moment to seriously consider God's biblical reaction to our self-serving, self-justifying, "politically correct" lies about sin:

Malachi 2:17
17  Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

There is only one way to get ourselves right with God Almighty and that is by repentance and an active faith toward Him and His Christ.

For Those Who Hate Israel...

Throughout the Bible and history, God has repeatedly proven that He has chosen the Jewish people, Israel, and Jerusalem, as His chosen people, and His place for them, to live and worship Him. God has done this as an example for all peoples and nations of this world, that all humanity might learn to love and worship Him in Truth. Despite all of God's repeated warnings and encouragements about how we should relate to Him and to His chosen people, there repeatedly arise people and governments that abhor or hate Abraham's offspring and the nation of Israel. Yet, every nation has fallen, that ever despised God's Word, or that went up against the children of Abraham. In the Book of Zechariah God tells the whole world what will become of anyone who goes to fight against Israel in the last earthly battle that is yet to come, wherein the Christ of God shall personally destroy all the armies of the world that rise up against Israel.

Zechariah 14:12-1512  And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14  And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15  And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

God says that there is only One Way to make peace with God; only One Way to secure to yourself God's eternal life and peace.

Thanksgiving Day 2016, 11/24/2016: What is thanksgiving without God?

We all know at least a little something about the Pilgrims’ who had that first (now famous) sit down dinner of thanks with the locals, local natives who, by God’s mercy, had graciously helped the Pilgrims to survive the New England weather for over a year. At that dinner, that assembly of souls was not watching TV or playing on cell phones, nor were they talking football, commenting on secular and commercial parade floats, rising musicians, or movie stars. Instead, that gathered company of survivors counted the mercies that God had poured out to sustain them, despite half of them having died since they first landed on the edge of this land. God and His mercy was the focus of their thanks. Will He and His mercies to us, also, be the praise of our lips throughout our meal and day?

In our modern world, for the most part, we silence ourselves about Jesus Christ (our Creator) and His Word, in favor of those worldly things that titillate and amuse us. We are eager to fill our mouths at God's bountiful table, but we are reluctant to let our mouths openly and unashamedly give Him the real thanks and praise that is due to Him alone. How many quick ‘thanks for the grub’ prayers will be offered, and then God forgotten, this day? How many of us will allow Him to prompt us to tell others about even a few of His merciful loving works in our lives?

Bless God for His Word and His Christ, by which we can and must test and prove ourselves and all things. Let all thanks and glory be unto Him to whom we shall give answer for all that we do or neglect to do.

This year I am grateful that God has sustained me through many trials, of all sorts. Some trials, I failed, because I neglected to do things His way. Yet, I bless the Lord Jesus Christ for His Word by which I have been able to see where I have erred, that I might repent and grow in what is good in His mind. I bless Him that He has sustained me, including through recurrences of post-shingles discomforts and war wounds acting up. I bless Him that he has helped me to keep reading His Word. I thank God that He continually reminds me to stay focused on Him instead of on earthly things. I thank Him that I’m still healing from the reflux lung damage that occurred late last winter. I bless God that He is still teaching me about His ways. I bless Him that I’m still learning fiscal and social skills and responsibility. I bless God that He helps me keep moving and reaching out to other people, despite all the aches and pains that come with this aging body, and despite the struggles of forgetfulness. I bless God for my huge family and vast number of friends and acquaintances, and that I’m still learning how to interact with people. I praise God for His mission of sharing Jesus Christ with others. I especially thank Him for His promise of eternal hope, peace, and life with Him in Christ Jesus, and that that is God's greatest gift of all to me and to all humanity. I thank God that, as the song says, “this world is not my home, I’m just passing through”, as I learn, trust, obey, repent, and put into practice what His Holy Spirit and Word would have me learn and do. This life is not about me and what I want, but about God and my relationship with Him, on His terms.

May God bless you and keep you in all that is good in His heart, mind, and Word. May this Thanksgiving Day 2016, be truly a day of thanks and gathering to God's glory and to His praise, in all our words and deeds.

Seasonal Giving or Seasonal Getting?

Anyone who wants to know what God means by the word "give", and how important that is to Him, can find that answer in her/his Bible. Here is an online Bible's cover to cover list that includes over 1,500 words using the letters "giv", which includes give, giving, giveth, given, giver, and probably numerous other variations pertaining to the concept of giving. To be honest, though I have read the Bible through, I have not read that specific list of 1,548 words. Obviously, the concept of giving is important to God, but, do we know what giving really is?

With all the frantic buying and selling of a myriad of goods and services, is 'seasonal giving' really giving, or not? Just because we buy things and pass them along to someone else does not necessarily mean that we are giving gifts. Is the practice of developing a wishful recipient "gift list" really in the spirit of giving, or is it in the spirit of asking and expecting to receive for having asked? In Matthew 7 and Luke 11, Jesus speaks of asking, giving, and receiving, in relation to real life needs, not in terms of self-indulgence.

As potential givers, are we asking ourselves honestly what other people really need, and what is best for them? Or, as potential recipients, are we asking for things we really need, or for more stuff? Are we asking ourselves whether our superficial wants or urges might better be satisfied by directing our efforts and desires toward fulfilling the real and urgent needs of those who do not have the bounty that we have?

For many years, I have not made "Christmas" or "birthday" lists. Oh, my flesh is still my flesh, and I can think of things that I may desire, in fleshly terms, but for me to ask for those things seems vain and self-centered, especially at a time when we are supposed to be celebrating God's purest Gift to us, that Gift for which we did not ask. Therefore, I choose to leave gifting to the giver’s discretion, since Christmas and giving are not about what I want, but about what the giver wants to offer/give as a gift. It is NOT about me being worthy of a gift for I was not nor ever can be worthy of God's greatest Gift, yet He gave Himself, in Christ, for my salvation.

If something is gifted, in the modern sense, in some sort of prearranged negotiation or 'wish list', is that really a gift? I have been repeatedly drawn to that question, as a seasonal conundrum, for God, in Christ, offered himself as our Redeemer, before He ever created the world or us. I bless God for His perfect example of gifting, and His call to us to receive that which we neither asked for nor deserved, and I have to admit that I’m far from being a holy giver as He is.

Want a reality check and a test of godly character during the 'holiday seasons' or your birthday? Join me in asking yourself, Am I willing to receive as true gifts and in true gratitude (without me soliciting specific items or services), anything and everything that others might offer to give to me? If I cannot accept what others might offer to freely give me then I need to ask myself why I am not willing to receive in truth, instead of being self-ish. Self-ishness may have a list, but it doesn't need one to trouble our spirits. Let's put aside self, replace self with thanksgiving to God. Let's be truthful givers, sharing God's bounty, instead of being acquisitive. If we spent more time and effort in thankful giving we would be far less concerned with 'getting'; far more at peace with ourselves, with God, and with others. God bless you!

God Gives Us Life AND Free Will.

God gives us life:
Zechariah 12:1
The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

God gives us life at conception and has a plan for us:
Jeremiah 1:4-5
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5  Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

God defines for us what real success is in life:
Joshua 1:8-9
8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

God expects more of us than our self-centered lusts, entertainments, or motives:
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

God has given us all those things, to every human being, and He has simplified all the eternal questions we might ask by providing One Way, and only one way, for us to have a right relationship with Him. Our choice and destination are up to us, for all eternity.

"Why Do the Heathen Rage...?"

There are a "zillion" opinions and excuses that we all have used for failing to do things God's way. Yet, He says very simply that in the end we shall all confess that His Way is the right way. Even if we don't accept or obey Him in this life; even if we don't want to accept what He says, God shall have His final righteous judgment, and assign us eternal consequences according to OUR earthly choices. We cannot blame anyone else for that which we shall have chosen for ourselves. Ignoring or rejecting what God says IS a choice, and our ignoring and rejecting what He says does prepare our eternal habitation, but ignoring and rejecting God's Way shall NOT yield for us any eternal peace, joy, or comfort.

Despite all the worldly religions and religious mush to the contrary, with which people malnourish themselves spiritually, God says that there is only His solution for our sin, and only His way out of the consequences for our sin. God wants us to succeed, and success is a word that is so important to God that He only uses it once in the whole Bible.

Psalm 2:
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

A Ben Franklin-ish Reminder

It is November 10th, 2016. For all practical considerations, and in virtually every locale across these United States of America, the vast majority of ballots have been tallied, the candidates have won or lost their respective races for office, and now the 2016 election season is over.

Yet, despite my peace with God Almighty, that He knows who is next in line to do their best or worst for our towns, cities, states, and nation, I feel it is necessary to remind ourselves that our work as citizens is NOT over simply because we cast our votes. This is when and where the real work does and should begin as our favored candidates or our opponents prepare to assume office.

To expand upon my own paraphrase of Ben Franklin’s famous quote, we must face and shoulder the many years of hard work that lie ahead of us and strive to overcome the last 80 to 100 years of moral, political, economic, and spiritual damage done to our nation. To successfully rebuild our nation, we must return to ALL the Principles that founded our nation, including the salvation, love, mutual respect, and godliness that are founded and grounded in what God says in the Bible, about us, Himself, and life. For surely, if we don’t hang in there, together, in godly biblical agreement and in the fight for godly righteous freedom, then we shall all surely hang separately because of our selfish interests and lack of unity against oppressors who would enslave us to their own evil purposes.

Election Win Yields No Mandate: Where Can We Find Healing?

Election 2016 results are still being counted, but, Clinton has called Trump to concede the election, AND all news services say that Trump and the Republican Party have won this 2016 election. The key concept to grasp is that there is NO CLEAR MANDATE for either political party. The mandate is to be found in the questions about what has driven the voters to elect Donald Trump despite all the promises and flattery of voters by the opposition. Now, that foundational groundswell that developed the "movement" among the citizens of this nation, that same impetus that has propelled Trump into the seat of President-elect, must now get to work in a manner that will fulfill its promises. That groundswell was founded in the social, moral, spiritual, and economic dissatisfactions among our citizens. Now, where shall the citizens of our nation choose to turn to accomplish that mission? Upon what vast resources shall our nation call to get the job done, of repairing many decades of moral and spiritual decay and failed social and financial programs?

Around 03:30 this morning, Clinton called Trump to concede the election, after which Trump gave a very gracious 'thank you, and let's get to work' speech. The election results are encouraging for some and discouraging for others (in the worldly political sense), but, the ballot numbers do NOT demonstrate a clear political mandate for anything. There is only a slim Republican majority in the House and Senate, and an almost equal split in the popular vote. Those numbers shows this blogger that the voters of these United States of America are deeply divided in our opinions about what to do and how to do "it". THAT numerical divisiveness begs the question that God raises in the Bible (Amos 3:3), "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

The election result numbers should be a wakeup call regarding our moral, spiritual, practical, financial, and intellectual differences. As of this writing, at 1144 hours, the day after the 2016 election, Clinton has received a scant majority of the popular vote and Trump has won the electoral vote by a relatively small margin. We could argue over whether one candidate was elected or the other repudiated, but, that is moot. That close a vote, in the electoral and popular ballot counts, clearly exposes the rift in our nation. Do we remember the old aphorism, "United we stand. Divided we fall." The world is watching and hungry for a piece of this "American Pie". The world is both fearful of and drooling over us, as they wait to see what we, now, choose to do, and whether we shall allow ourselves to reconcile as "one nation under God". The question that we must ask ourselves is, shall we choose God, or some other god?

In his early morning speech, acknowledging his win, President-elect Donald Trump graciously saluted his opponent and then called for healing and reconciliation in our nation, so that we can all begin to work together to "fix" our nation. Yes, we need to "fix" things with each other, BUT, what we desperately need, even more than reconciliation with each other, is "repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ", and THEN to put godly faith in action doing the things that God wants us to do.

Sadly, too many voters, citizens, and guests, in our nation, are looking for an earthly savior to justify themselves and protect their favorite sins. Without nationwide repentance there will only be deeper divides and further chaos. God bless you to seek God's solutions for our nation and His only hope and promise for your eternity.

Vote With God's Desires & Our Constitution, NOT Just For or Against a Candidate

I make this last plea, before our official Election Day, that we each should stop and ponder what God wants for our Nation.

This election is about far more than what each of us "get" out of the election, or the worldly promises that the candidates are making. This election is about far more than the verbiage of the candidates, or the lusts of the masses. This election has earthly and eternal consequences.

The decisions that we, the voters, make in this election shall have far more impact on our lives and society than all the candidates thrown together. We, the voters, shall either begin to turn the USA back toward God and our Constitution (away from the self-destructive path that we have trod for over 80 years), OR, the results of our election year decisions shall speed our increasingly rapid decline toward an utterly pagan and selfish society that is dooming itself to repeat the governmental, spiritual, and social failures that have plagued humanity throughout all generations.

This may sound like a hopeless earthly situation, AND IT IS... IF... IF we insist on continuing to selfishly behave contrary to God’s Word, in our rebellion against the things that God loves, and in our fleshly love of the things that God hates. By our votes we shall prove what we love, godly freedom to obey God's Laws or indentured corruption to sin and our sin nature. We shall either begin a return to the Bible-based principles of our U.S. Constitution, or continue to allow the undermining and destruction of our Constitution.

“We, the People,” of these United States of America, and the several States, hereof, CANNOT blame those in power or politics for our own personal failures to shoulder our individual and collective responsibilities to exercise our wisdom and our power as citizens. This was designed and established to be a government by, for, and of the People, as our Founders so wisely said. AND, it is up to US, the citizen voters, to hold ourselves and those we elect accountable for ALL our actions and ALL their actions.

This election can either begin a moral and political reawakening or we can help drive yet more nails into the coffin of our Nation. The choice is yours, and the choice is mine. Unfortunately, instead of "the People" selecting candidates who are strong positive influences and godly role models, this election has degenerated into forcing us to choose between candidates who may do the least amount of damage to the moral, spiritual, and constitutional fabric of our Nation.

Even in these last few hours before we cast our ballots, we must pray for greater wisdom and courage to reject the convenient, reject the vain, reject the urge to accept free handouts, reject political and social flattery and fear-mongering.

IF we want this Nation to survive and prosper, we must look to God's definition of "success". We must vote for those who look to God and His Word to lead us, to restore that which is good in the eyes of God Almighty, to whom we shall ALL answer for our actions in this election. We need citizens and leaders who emulate the lives of Joseph, Joshua, Deborah, Jael, Daniel & his comrades, and all who have stood in truth against the tyranny of evil.

Please! Do NOT vote for any candidates who have flattered us, lied to us, cheated us, swindled us, or our fellow citizens. Please! Do NOT vote for candidates who support the killing of the unborn, who have defrauded others, dissembled in their legal testimonies, equivocated over moral definitions, or sought to undermine, alter, or deny the language of our Constitution. Please! Do NOT vote for those who have tried to muzzle or to deny freedom to those who love God and His Word.

Dead Presidents Still Speak: Our Founders Warned Us About Today's Society & Politics

Here is a starting reference, citing the following warnings from Samuel Adams and John Adams, two Founders of these United States of America, a father and a son who both served the People, as Presidents of our Nation: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3306841/posts?page=6

" Immorality of every kind comes in like a torrent. It is in the interest of tyrants to reduce the people to ignorance and vice. For they cannot live in any country where virtue and knowledge prevail. The religion and public liberty of a people are intimately connected; their interests are interwoven, they cannot subsist separately; and therefore they rise and fall together. For this reason, it is always observable, that those who are combined to destroy the people's liberties, practice every art to poison their morals. How greatly then does it concern us, at all events, to put a stop to the progress of tyranny.  It has advanced already by far too many strides. We are at this moment upon a precipice. The next step may be fatal to us."   Samuel Adams,  October 5, 1772

"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.  There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide."  John Adams, 1814

In spite of all the anti-Bible and anti-Christ sentiment in the world today, if you were face to face with those presidents, they would vehemently urge you to make your peace with God's Word and God's ONLY Savior, Jesus Christ.

God Says So, and THAT Makes It So...

Zechariah 4:6:
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

And that is why we all need to be saved God's way... for human power, might, works, and reasoning shall fail us.

Only by His Savior.

Only by His Salvation.

Another of Mrs. Clinton's Lies...

In the third presidential debate of 2016, candidate Clinton boldly and arrogantly said that we, the USA, are "good". She calls God a liar when she says that, for God says that we have all sinned against Him, and by our sin we are NOT good. He is good. We are eternally delusional if we pretend otherwise.

By her calling citizens and voters of the USA "good" she hopes to flatter and deafen us to the truth of the sins that she and we commit and have committed personally and as a nation, including abortion, selfishness, lying, lust, homosexuality, cheating, stealing, threatening, bullying, hording, inordinate affection, idolatry, elevation of self above the Word of God, and many other things. There is only ONE WAY that we are going to make any right decision about the person for whom we should vote in this election: we must put aside our fears, emotions, and prejudices, and we must seek the Living God, Jesus Christ, and PRAY that for His help to choose the right president, whether that soul is currently a leading candidate or not on November 8th. God can deliver us by many or by few, even as He chose Gideon and a few to start the rout of a mighty army that was about to attack Israel.

Dear Jesus, You alone can deliver us from vile people and lying politicians. You alone can turn the hearts of each of us back to Your Word and godly principles by which You have always said that we need to live. You alone can help us to repent and turn in faith to putting your Word into action in our own lives that we might be a holy example to all those around us. Please help us to repent and praise You across this nation, that YOU be honored and glorified, for without choosing YOU FIRST, as our Supreme Leader, we have no hope and no reason to hope. Thank You, LORD!!!!!!! Amen.

One Candidate Destroys Our Rights, Lies for Cheating Husband, and Lies About Violating National Security! PLEASE Don't Elect the Chronic Liar and Enabler! Other Candidate's Flaw Is Putting His Foot In His Mouth.

Zephaniah 2:1-3
 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
2  Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.
3  Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.

I start this article with one of God's calls to repentance, partly because our nation so desperately needs to repent of a horrid amount of personal and collective sin, but also to raise the point of the eternal standard by which we need to examine our political candidates for office, in every election. Having watched all three presidential debates and having followed a lot of commentary and news items that are readily available to anyone who wants to know the truth about Clinton and Trump, it is plain to me that there are some things about each of those candidates that need to be mentioned about them.

Mrs. Clinton has stayed with her husband through all of his philandering. Is she a saint, or a fool? Or,... has she just used him, all along, as a springboard to political office, for herself? In many, or dare I say, most, homes in the USA, most women refuse to tolerate husbands who keep cheating on them. Why is it that friends, neighbors, and counselors tend to tell a woman to get out of her marriage when her husband chronically cheats on her? Why do people lose respect for women who refuse to leave men who chronically cheat on them? AND... why do people NOT respect women's judgment IF the wives of chronic cheaters remain indefinitely with their husbands? Why is such insecurity considered a mental or emotional character defect by many people? Yet, in this election season, many people are ignoring the elephantine misbehaviors of her husband and fawning over the insecure Mrs. (CHRONIC or HABITUAL VICTIM of Unfaithful Husband) Clinton, trying desperately to get her elected to the highest public office in our land. Why are US voters being so two-faced about the average wife of chronic cheaters and yet so willing to excuse the political co-dependence of Bill & Hillary Clinton, when he can't or won't "keep it in his pants"?!

Mrs. (chronic or habitual victim?) Clinton has also courted "the black vote" making all sorts of entitlement promises (that shall only serve to further bankrupt our nation and corrupt those who line up to play for the payout), and yet, Mrs. Clinton ragingly bad-mouths the NRA (an American original civil rights group formed to help "blacks"). The Democrats' unpresidential candidate despises the NRA and those of us who love and defend our Constitution and its Second Amendment, calling us irresponsible extremists, even saying that we are PTSD-saddled mental defectives, if we served our nation in combat. Yet, that very unpresidential candidate, HC, wants to appoint a Supreme Court Justice, even though her own political attacks against our Constitution's plain language about citizens bearing arms are the same kind of supremacist racism that was in evidence when the Supreme Court used the Second Amendment to help deny Dred Scott his humanity and freedom. Too many of Mrs. Clinton's supporters are similar in their sentiment, to the irresponsible, liberally racist, socialistic Clinton, as they also want her to appoint another Supreme Court Justice to "legislate from the bench", and thereby, unconstitutionally attack our Constitution and our Rights. These 'modern' activists, just as those who feared people of color in the 19th Century, likewise seek to abuse the Supreme Court power, as was done to deny Dred Scott his freedom as a human being, deny him citizenship, and his right to bear arms, as the Majority said, on page 60 US 417, of that decision,

"It would give to persons of the negro race, who were recognised [sic] as citizens in any one State of the Union, the right to enter every other State whenever they pleased, singly or in companies, without pass or passport, and without obstruction, to sojourn there as long as they pleased, to go where they pleased at every hour of the day or night without molestation, unless they committed some violation of law for which a white man would be punished; and it would give them the full liberty of speech in public and in private upon all subjects upon which its own citizens might speak; to hold public meetings upon political affairs, and to keep and carry arms wherever they went. And all of this would be done in the face of the subject race of the same color, both free and slaves, and inevitably producing discontent and insubordination among them, and endangering the peace and safety of the State."

Clinton and her cronies do NOT understand our Constitution and its support of our natural rights. They do NOT understand that the likes of them do NOT somehow have more or better rights than the rest of us. They do NOT understand that to deny, minimize, or destroy any natural right (including that of self-defense and the ability to keep and bear arms), that all such attacks on any human rights are attacks on all human rights.

MANY people around our nation are bad-mouthing Trump for repeatedly sticking his foot in his mouth and saying all sorts of things that foolish or ill-advised. BUT, to be honest, why are people making such a big deal of Trump's comments, when Trump has not acted out on those things. It has been Bill Clinton who, historically, has put way more than his foot into far more than his mouth, and his wife is still putting up with that behavior! BC seems to have a desire to get caught cheating on his wife and then lies about it until proven guilty. His wife lies about his affairs until proven publically wrong. What kind of stage does that set for arguing or negotiating sensitive international trade or security deals, if HC were to be President?! The junk that one tolerates says a lot about the lack of character of the person putting up with it. Is electing our highest leader supposed to be some foolish sex oriented, sensationalistic, soap opera to entertain the public and shame our nation? Do we REALLY want BC back in the White House doing his thing with the staff members? If his wife gets into the Oval Office, BC will have lots of free time for philandering at taxpayer expense, ...AGAIN! Do we REALLY want a repeat of that kind of "leadership"... from the sex & lies duo?! from the cheat & delete twins? From the "What do you mean by 'sex' equivocators? The Clintons are a festering blot on our not so pristine political landscape.

Yes, Trump may have said all sorts of rotten things over the years, but it has historically been the Clintons who have put all sorts of rotten things into practice.

Personally, I'd MUCH rather have a President who, like Trump, has a hard time not getting angry about abortion, terrorism, financial destitution of our nation, illegal immigrants, or about lying public officials, or domestic cheating.

I do NOT want a President who, like Clinton, has equivocated and chronically lied, misjudged international situations, denied responsibility for the mismanagement of her security violations, lied about her security breaches, played to the public for sympathy over her cheating husband while milking him for all the political advantage she could gain for herself.

I'd MUCH rather have a President who, like Trump, has a large loving family attesting to his intimate leadership skills.

I do NOT want a President who, like Mrs. Clinton, can't maintain a morally constructive husband-wife relationship instead of wallowing in his cheating relationship.

I do NOT want a president who wants so desperately to cart her cheating husband back to the very scene of his former sins against her and against our nation.

What kind of twisted society are we building? While promising what her sycophants want to hear, Clinton will further tear at our Constitution and our way of life.

In contrast to my perceptions of his opposition, I thank God that Trump is very much in tune with what is angering a huge segment of righteous US society and, unlike his opposition, I think that Trump will turn his understanding of our citizens' anger and frustrations into hard work that will honor, support, and defend our Constitution and our way of life.

Shall We Fight Against God Himself? You Cannot Save the Planet, But You Can Save Your Eternal Life

In the last few decades it has become increasingly popular among prelates, laymen, and scientists to excuse or ignore sin and to elevate the status of elements of Creation above the Self-existent, Eternal God who created all things for Himself, His pleasure, His purposes, including His having created us. It is willfully arrogant and ignorant of humanity to think that we can get away with sin and flaunt it in God's face, then for us to turn around and say that "we" are going to try to save the planet from the natural long term cycles that God put into place.

"Earth Day", "Gaia", & "Mother Earth" are expressions that roll off people's tongues even while they use profanity and blaspheme the Name of the Living God. Increasing numbers of souls are duped into the modern and interrelated religions of evolutionism and secularism, in which they push away God and His Word, in favor of their own ideas and fears. But, just because flies swarm hungrily around a pile of manure does NOT mean that I as a human being should be eating what flies eat. God has different plans.

Too many folks are hollering that climate change, more popularly called 'global warming', is a modern error of society. But those same people would have been screaming the same nonsense when the great Ice Age was bearing down on humanity. Those people want to change the weather and climate cycles to maintain their physical, financial, or social interests to which they've grown accustomed, BUT they do NOT want to change their sin. They want everyone accountable for consumer behaviors that have some small impact on CO2 levels, BUT they do NOT want to repent of their own sin, before the Living God. They do not want to admit that their personal sin was responsible for putting Jesus Christ on Calvary's cross. They do not want to admit or accept that He volunteered to shed His sinless blood, be tortured, and die in their own place, to pay for their sin. God says that we make false gods of ourselves when we exercise our willful selfish interests, when we choose our urges and false ideas instead of choosing His goals for us. We sin by failing to choose obedience, repentance, faith, holiness, and worship of HIM. Like flies, we keep choosing the manure pile of sin, instead of the good goals that God set for us. Our refusal to do what God wants not only corrupts Earth, but all of Creation. That we might choose to escape that corruption, Jesus chose to die in our own place and rise again to save us from the consequences of our sin,... IF we will just repent, trust Christ, and let God work in our lives.

Not only does God say that our sin corrupts Creation, BUT, because of humanity's continued refusal to repent, throughout the ages, God says that HE is going to end both human sin and all of His original Creation that our sin has corrupted. God has said for millennia that He is NOT going to destroy the world by floods or climate change, BUT, He very specifically says that HE is going to put all Creation to the torch... before He creates a NEW Heavens and NEW Earth in which are no longer any sin.

2 Peter 3:3-7   Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,    And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.    For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:    Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

So, my question is, how is it that people think that they are going to fight against God and save this Earth and Creation that God has promised to burn? Look at the simplest of situations that God posed to the Jews regarding the fruit of their sin. God's chosen people could not escape the consequences of their sin, because they did not repent. How arrogantly ignorant of history people are, today, who think that they can escape God's judgment and punishment for our sin. Even God's chosen people could not escape when they refused to repent!

Zephaniah 1:2-3
I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.  I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.

There is ONLY ONE WAY out of the destruction that is coming, and that is by PERSONAL repentance and faith in the Person and the Plan that God has stated all throughout history. Please choose His Plan for salvation before it is too late for you.

Getting Drunk or Stoned to Get Into Someone's Pants? There's a Payday!

God says that He holds everyone of us accountable for getting others stoned or drunk if we are trying to even look at them naked. Unless we repent of our sin, God is going to see that we are shamed and punished for such behavior... that includes intoxicated/impaired seductions, spouse swapping wine parties, and 'spring break' type of inebriated carousing.

Habakkuk 2:15-16
15  Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
16  Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD'S right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.

Please repent, before it's too late!

Political Advice To Grandchildren

To my grandkids, as you come of age to vote:

A lack of godly wisdom, not the age of the voter, is the real issue in society and politics, especially for those voters who vote with their cravings, feelings, or hormones. It is a great personal and social weakness to fail to vote according to godly principles. Only when our votes are based on biblical and constitutional principles do we shed light on our society and improve our mutual condition.

In some political circles, the voters may love a particularly favorite sin of theirs, or they may be afraid of personal responsibility, or they may not have much experience, or hold responsible jobs, or have any significant family concerns to help make them realize their responsibilities and duties to God and to our Constitution.

In other circles, certain rich people, like the Clintons, refuse to give away all their own money, BUT they try to take away other people's hard earned money. Those, like the Clintons, think that by increasing taxes on us, taking our money, and putting our money into government coffers, that their socialistic government programs can fix everything by throwing money at problems. But, those same people fail to accept how much money the government wastes every year, through all the declensions overhead costs and superfluous programs. Socialists, like that, take away our money, save their own money,  and then give away our money to support their own favorite programs, even when most of the rest of us citizens don't want to be taxed for all those socialistic giveaway programs.

Our government is too big and too invasive in everyone's personal business. Our country continues to be in a major financial crisis that even your own grandchildren will not be able to pay off. Our people cannot tolerate any more heavy taxation or expensive give away programs. Voters need to take responsibility and vote to stop the destructive liberal and socialistic spending that is undermining our nation's stability and security. Voters need to stop all the government programs that are robbing US workers of their livelihoods and that are undermining people's sense of personal responsibility to God, to our Constitution, and to each other.

I am not saying these things to scare you, but to let you know the truth about some of the real problems our nation is facing. If people continue to refuse to change their attitudes and their ways, if we, as a nation, do not return to doing things God's way and to the principles of our Constitution, then our nation shall continue to fall apart with increasing rapidity.

Elections should never be about trying to elect popular people or because someone is rich or poor, or of a particular sex or color. According to our Constitution, elections are supposed to elect candidates of God moral character, who also have proven themselves to be capable managers, trustworthy, and who support and defend our Constitution, and what it says.

Elected officials are required to take the oath of office, and in that oath they promise to support and defend our Constitution... But too many hired, appointed, and elected officials forget or ignore their oath of promise and they go against the rules of our Constitution. Whenever any government officials break their promises to support, defend, and uphold our Constitution, they are working to break down our Nation and do not deserve to remain in office, but should be ousted by the voters.

Oh, the Promises of God!!!

What great and precious promises God makes to us! Oh, that we would but turn from our sin in "...repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." ...something that even Micah 7 talks about...

Biblical Guidance About Personal Loans, Cosigning, & Gifts

Want to avoid a lot of financial agonies in life, when it comes to family and friends?

While the Bible is loaded with financial advice, here's a short summary of what God says about interpersonal non-business loans and co-signing personal loans... as a wise Christian once told me:
  1. NEVER loan money to anyone as a personal favor, and NEVER co-sign a personal loan! Business is business and personal is personal. There is ALWAYS some kind of payday and consequence involved when money and wealth are at stake in this life. When you’re waiting for friends or family to pay you back for their overdue personal loan, it’s all too easy for bitterness, frustration, and anger to percolate in the lender who did the borrower the ‘favor’. As the Bible says, “The borrower is servant to the lender.” Being in THAT obligatory lender/borrower servitude mode tends to ruin relationships, because it is seldom treated as a strictly business arrangement with clearly defined consequences and target dates for termination of the loan. Financial martyrdom and abuse have no place in familial or friendly relations.
  2. NEVER GIVE away more than you can afford to lose permanently. Do NOT allow feelings, instead of principles, to drive your giving habits. Gifts, donations, and financial favors, based on feelings, get out of hand quickly, and usually fail most or all financial accountability tests, for both lender and recipient.
  3. IF someone asks for help and YOU have proven that there is a real need, remember that genuine urgent borrowers seldom calculate what they may really need, or feel embarrassed to ask for as much as they think they might need, so GIVE them a GIFT of more than they say that they need, BUT, do NOT give more than you can afford to let go forever.
  4. NEVER expect to see any such GIFT returned to you.
  5. Let it go!
  6. Never ask for gifted money to be returned.
  7. NEVER remind other people of what you did for them.
  8. NEVER tell anyone else of your generosity.
  9. Tell that recipient person that, as Jesus Christ has been good to you, and to them, it is your responsibility, and theirs, to responsibly share His blessings with others, whenever they are aware of the real needs of others, AND able to afford to help. (Remember Christ's commendation of the “Good Samaritan”.)
  10. Take personal responsibility for doing your OWN investigation of the other person’s need
  11. Do NOT let the gift come between you and the other person.
  12. As you give that person that GIFT, and whether or not the person insists on wanting to pay you back, politely refuse to allow them to return your gift. Instead, tell them to do the same for someone else, as God has allowed you to do for them, when the time comes in their own life.

Using this model of responsible giving to others (which is entirely different from tithing to God), you will keep your real friends and be free of those who would bleed you financially. Stick to these rules in personal finances, and you will live and sleep with a clear conscience, at least with respect to those who love truth and harmony in personal relationships.

Those Who Plan Their Sins

Micah 2:1:Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

From such things, God says there is only one way out...

The Enormity of Human Sin

A wise soul once told me, "In your life, sin will keep you from the Bible, or the Bible will keep you from sin. The choice is yours."
In that simple statement lies a profound truth about our humanity and our sin nature. In our self-serving unholy pursuits we push away that which would deliver us from our vile tendencies, and we embrace that which seeks to destroy us and our lives. I have seen those truths in action in my own life, depending on my choices. I cannot blame God or anyone else for the things that I choose to do, or for the consequences of my choices.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Whether you, currently, believe such things, or not, may I encourage you to read, or reread, the Bible, particularly refreshing yourself in its books of Psalms, Proverbs, John, and Romans, for life itself springs from the Word of God, as does wisdom and success (God only uses the word success once in the whole Bible).
Here is the key to life and peace in, through, and with the God of Creation.

Killing Unborn Kids is Hated by God

Look at what God says about one group of people who attacked another group and killed their women and unborn children for personal and collective gain. How much more God must hate it when we kill off our own unborn children for personal gain or convenience.

Amos 1:13-15
"Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
"But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
"And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD."

Who Shall Choose to be Wise?

Hosea 14:8-9
8  Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
9  Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

The italicized words "me" and "him" in the above passage refer to THE One True God, the only Self-Existent, Eternal One who is THE LORD, our Creator, the Almighty. Note that the passage verses show a clear differentiation between people who worship any kind of idol and those who acknowledge and worship God according to His Truth. Furthermore, the end of the passage stresses that idol worshippers shall be trapped by their own ignorance of worship and face a payday.

Please be sure that you understand who God is and how to be sure that you are really worshipping Him instead of muddling along in a false religion. May God bless you as you seek Him through His Word.

As Went the Passions of Old Israel, So Goes Our Nation

Would you like to see a God's-eye view of what too many people and politicians are doing these days, and how they are herding us toward utter destruction?

Look back in history. Study the parallels between the downfall of the ancients and you'll see why we are in our present spiritual, moral, economic, and political chaos, today.

Jeremiah 9:3
And they bend their tongues [like] their bow [for] lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.

Jeremiah 9:23-24
23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise [man] glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty [man] glory in his might, let not the rich [man] glory in his riches:
24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I [am] the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these [things] I delight, saith the LORD.

IF we do not want to repeat history's failures, then we must repent of our sin and return to God Almighty to be saved.
