Zephaniah 2:1-3
1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not
desired;
2 Before the decree bring
forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the
LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.
3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of
the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness:
it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.
I start this article with one of God's calls to repentance, partly because our nation so desperately needs to repent of a horrid amount of personal and collective sin, but also to raise the point of the eternal standard by which we need to examine our political candidates for office, in every election. Having watched all three presidential debates and having followed a lot of commentary and news items that are readily available to anyone who wants to know the truth about Clinton and Trump, it is plain to me that there are some things about each of those candidates that need to be mentioned about them.
Mrs. Clinton has stayed with her husband through all of his philandering. Is she a saint, or a fool? Or,... has she just used him, all along, as a springboard to political office, for herself? In many, or dare I say, most, homes in the USA, most women refuse to tolerate husbands who keep cheating on them. Why is it that friends, neighbors, and counselors tend to tell a woman to get out of her marriage when her husband chronically cheats on her? Why do people lose respect for women who refuse to leave men who chronically cheat on them? AND... why do people NOT respect women's judgment IF the wives of chronic cheaters remain indefinitely with their husbands? Why is such insecurity considered a mental or emotional character defect by many people? Yet, in this election season, many people are ignoring the elephantine misbehaviors of her husband and fawning over the insecure Mrs. (CHRONIC or HABITUAL VICTIM of Unfaithful Husband) Clinton, trying desperately to get her elected to the highest public office in our land. Why are US voters being so two-faced about the average wife of chronic cheaters and yet so willing to excuse the political co-dependence of Bill & Hillary Clinton, when he can't or won't "keep it in his pants"?!
Mrs. (chronic or habitual victim?) Clinton has also courted "the black vote" making all sorts of entitlement promises (that shall only serve to further bankrupt our nation and corrupt those who line up to play for the payout), and yet, Mrs. Clinton ragingly bad-mouths the NRA (an American original civil rights group formed to help "blacks"). The Democrats' unpresidential candidate despises the NRA and those of us who love and defend our Constitution and its Second Amendment, calling us irresponsible extremists, even saying that we are PTSD-saddled mental defectives, if we served our nation in combat. Yet, that very unpresidential candidate, HC, wants to appoint a Supreme Court Justice, even though her own political attacks against our Constitution's plain language about citizens bearing arms are the same kind of supremacist racism that was in evidence when the Supreme Court used the Second Amendment to help deny Dred Scott his humanity and freedom. Too many of Mrs. Clinton's supporters are similar in their sentiment, to the irresponsible, liberally racist, socialistic Clinton, as they also want her to appoint another Supreme Court Justice to "legislate from the bench", and thereby, unconstitutionally attack our Constitution and our Rights. These 'modern' activists, just as those who feared people of color in the 19th Century, likewise seek to abuse the Supreme Court power, as was done to deny Dred Scott his freedom as a human being, deny him citizenship, and his right to bear arms, as the Majority said, on page 60 US 417, of that decision,
"It would give to persons of the negro race, who were recognised [sic] as citizens in any one State of the Union, the right to enter every other State whenever they pleased, singly or in companies, without pass or passport, and without obstruction, to sojourn there as long as they pleased, to go where they pleased at every hour of the day or night without molestation, unless they committed some violation of law for which a white man would be punished; and it would give them the full liberty of speech in public and in private upon all subjects upon which its own citizens might speak; to hold public meetings upon political affairs, and to keep and carry arms wherever they went. And all of this would be done in the face of the subject race of the same color, both free and slaves, and inevitably producing discontent and insubordination among them, and endangering the peace and safety of the State."
Clinton and her cronies do NOT understand our Constitution and its support of our natural rights. They do NOT understand that the likes of them do NOT somehow have more or better rights than the rest of us. They do NOT understand that to deny, minimize, or destroy any natural right (including that of self-defense and the ability to keep and bear arms), that all such attacks on any human rights are attacks on all human rights.
MANY people around our nation are bad-mouthing Trump for repeatedly sticking his foot in his mouth and saying all sorts of things that foolish or ill-advised. BUT, to be honest, why are people making such a big deal of Trump's comments, when Trump has not acted out on those things. It has been Bill Clinton who, historically, has put way more than his foot into far more than his mouth, and his wife is still putting up with that behavior! BC seems to have a desire to get caught cheating on his wife and then lies about it until proven guilty. His wife lies about his affairs until proven publically wrong. What kind of stage does that set for arguing or negotiating sensitive international trade or security deals, if HC were to be President?! The junk that one tolerates says a lot about the lack of character of the person putting up with it. Is electing our highest leader supposed to be some foolish sex oriented, sensationalistic, soap opera to entertain the public and shame our nation? Do we REALLY want BC back in the White House doing his thing with the staff members? If his wife gets into the Oval Office, BC will have lots of free time for philandering at taxpayer expense, ...AGAIN! Do we REALLY want a repeat of that kind of "leadership"... from the sex & lies duo?! from the cheat & delete twins? From the "What do you mean by 'sex' equivocators? The Clintons are a festering blot on our not so pristine political landscape.
Yes, Trump may have said all sorts of rotten things over the years, but it has historically been the Clintons who have put all sorts of rotten things into practice.
Personally, I'd MUCH rather have a President who, like Trump, has a hard time not getting angry about abortion, terrorism, financial destitution of our nation, illegal immigrants, or about lying public officials, or domestic cheating.
I do NOT want a President who, like Clinton, has equivocated and chronically lied, misjudged international situations, denied responsibility for the mismanagement of her security violations, lied about her security breaches, played to the public for sympathy over her cheating husband while milking him for all the political advantage she could gain for herself.
I'd MUCH rather have a President who, like Trump, has a large loving family attesting to his intimate leadership skills.
I do NOT want a President who, like Mrs. Clinton, can't maintain a morally constructive husband-wife relationship instead of wallowing in his cheating relationship.
I do NOT want a president who wants so desperately to cart her cheating husband back to the very scene of his former sins against her and against our nation.
What kind of twisted society are we building? While promising what her sycophants want to hear, Clinton will further tear at our Constitution and our way of life.
In contrast to my perceptions of his opposition, I thank God that Trump is very much in tune with what is angering a huge segment of righteous US society and, unlike his opposition, I think that Trump will turn his understanding of our citizens' anger and frustrations into hard work that will honor, support, and defend our Constitution and our way of life.
