When We Bow To and Follow Our Idols, We Deny The One Real God

Psalm 115:1-8
1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

From God's point of view, it is no small wonder that our cultures are in such chaos these days. We have mostly thrown God away and we are following false gods and idols, whether those are things, people, institutions, creatures, or ideas. When we seek, consult, and trust any of those, before we consult and depend on the Lord of Creation, the Self-existent One, God Almighty, then we are idolizing and uplifting those things and basically saying that we trust our idols more than we trust in the Eternal God who made all things, and made us in His image. Chasing fun, selfish interests, intellectual ideas, or philosophies has a damaging effect on our lives and our relationship with God, also. Whenever we seek Him secondarily, we denigrate Him and elevate above Him the very people or things that He or we have created. Medicine and so-called science are no different than any of the other things, persons, or constructs to which we too often bow our hearts, minds, spirits, and lives.

We all need to repent of many things and seek God, ...His Christ, ...His only way of salvation... AND, we need to do it His way.

Critical Race Theory Is Nothing More Than Cain Vs Abel

Since the beginning of Human history, dictators, oppressors, the angry, the jealous, the self-absorbed, self-interested, and high-minded people have all sought ways to re-invent and elevate themselves artificially above the rest of humanity, especially in relation to those of whom they are jealous, or by whom they perceive themselves hurt or slighted. God hates jealousy for jealousy is not rooted in godly love nor in concern for our fellow humans. God despises our hatred of those around us. God despises rebelliousness.

God struck Moses sister with leprosy because his sister was griping about Moses marrying an Ethiopian woman. God struck rebels, whiners, and complainers with fire, illness, earthquakes, and serpent bites, and that was among His chosen people, Israel. He is no less concerned with the way the rest of us conduct ourselves toward Him and toward each other. If we learn nothing else from God's Word, we must learn that God affords us only one entitlement in life, the gift of being able to choose whether we will ourselves to accept and follow God and His ways, or to reject them. There is no greater decision that we shall ever face in life, and God lets us choose that. The consequences are eternally emancipating or eternally damning, for in our choice we determine our own eternal destiny.

Most people do not want to admit or look at the sin nature of their own flesh nor of their fellow Man, in order to judge righteous judgment. As many times as I have read God's Word, there are still times that I do not want to deal with my sin or my sin nature. THAT is why I must accept and trust God's only Savior. Most people try to avoid admitting or dealing with their sin and their sin nature. But, God does not overlook our sinful ways, as we strive to hatefully claw our way over each other. Those who despise God's self-sacrificing ways force themselves to look for superficial ways by which to try to distance their own personal sin from the sin of others against whom they rant or from whom they are segregating themselves morally, socially, politically, and spiritually. God's Word points out that all too often we say we love God, whom we have not seen, when we really hate our fellow humans whom we have seen. We make ourselves into liars when we make claims like that. God does not tolerate self-justification, for we are all without excuse when we sin.

All human beings are made in God's image and therefore no different from one another in most aspects of our lives. Yes, God gives each of us genetic differences and allows us to be born into different cultures and life conditions, within the framework of Humanity, but none of us are any better than any other person, to God. To God, none of us are racially inferior or superior to any other person. We can all interbreed and are answerable to God for whether we live up to or reject His Word and His standards of living. He says, "there is none righteous, no not one." And, He calls all of us to repentance and faith in Him and His plan of salvation. Racial superiority and inferiority are nonsense for God, alone, is our Creator, Master, Father, Judge, and Redeemer. The One whom He has appointed shall judge us by His Word, whether that judgment comes sooner or later. It shall be accomplished. God's promises cannot be broken, though Humanity desperately tries to find ways around what God says.

Who do we dare to think that we are, elevating ourselves above others? We are NOT God. Who do we think we are, as we denigrate others? We are NOT God. To God, our attempts to manipulate our perceived relative position in relation to other people is selfish and hateful, because we attempt to distance ourselves from the rest of humanity, whether or not they have wronged us. Why are we NOT as tolerant with others in the same way that we want God to be tolerant of us? Do we think God is blowing hot air when He commands us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves? If we eagerly want and seek "entitlements" should we not be equally eager to see all the rest of Humanity receiving "entitlements"?

God's Word says, we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Yet, in His great love for us, He sent His only begotten Son to live the only sinless life, to then suffer, bleed to death, die, and rise from the dead to set us free, if we will simply choose to believe in and on His Savior. By those merciful things, God demonstrates His godly love, and for that purpose God created and calls all of humanity, NOT to the hatred and self-absorption in which most people wallow as they try to make sense of events and feelings in life. The only Gift from God to which all Humanity is entitled, if we shall will ourselves to accept and receive it, is God's Savior and the salvation that is in Him alone.

This is NOT a polemic against any particular group, but a call to all humanity to repent of our personal and collective sin before it is too late to repent. God only gives us this one life in which to choose or reject His Word, His ways, His Savior, and His salvation. He has offered us Himself and a home with Him. It is now up to each of us to decide what we want our lives to be based on and where we want to spend eternity. Our acceptance or rejection of God's promises determines our destiny. Those who feel powerful should be greatly humbled by God's offer. Those who feel powerless should be greatly emboldened by God's offer.

Below are links with more biblical information about how you can move from a life of antipathy toward our fellow humans to a life of selfless service to God, our Creator and eternal King. God bless you to choose Him, His Word, and His ways.

Who is the one true God?

What is God's one plan of salvation?

Human Solutions Seem Good, But God's Are Better

Psalm 108:12
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

God allows us to pursue all manner of research and knowledge. But, are we really pursuing what pleases Him?

Joshua 1:8 defines what God means by success.

God leaves the choice up to us, as He points out in John 3 and in Luke 16, whether we want to accept His ways or reject them. We only get one life in which to make this choice.

Call On the LORD God In Good Times and Bad Times: God Alone Keeps His Word

Psalm 12:1-8

1Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

15And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Run-Away Rage or Imagination? God's Solution Gives Real Peace

Psalm 2:1-12
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Seek God's Son.

When The World Agrees With God's Word, We All Should Listen

Throughout history and in the lives of, even, the most ardent of true believers in God and His ways, yet, too often we forget to listen to all the godly counsel around us, because our prejudice or ignorant treatment of the source of that counsel. Let this Bible passage be a lesson that we all need to learn, that we weigh and prove all counsel by the rest of what God has instructed us, that we not end up hurt, dead, or undermining the work that God has planned for our lives. Let us not, by our neglect or prejudice, damage and grieve others around us.

2 Chronicles 35:20-24
20 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.
21  But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.
22  Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
23  And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.
24  His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

Let us heed, for God has declared His only Savior.

Let us heed, for God has declared His only plan of salvation.
