A wise soul once told me, "In your life, sin will keep you from the Bible, or the Bible will keep you from sin. The choice is yours."
In that simple statement lies a profound truth about our humanity and our sin nature. In our self-serving unholy pursuits we push away that which would deliver us from our vile tendencies, and we embrace that which seeks to destroy us and our lives. I have seen those truths in action in my own life, depending on my choices. I cannot blame God or anyone else for the things that I choose to do, or for the consequences of my choices.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Whether you, currently, believe such things, or not, may I encourage you to read, or reread, the Bible, particularly refreshing yourself in its books of Psalms, Proverbs, John, and Romans, for life itself springs from the Word of God, as does wisdom and success (God only uses the word success once in the whole Bible).
Here is the key to life and peace in, through, and with the God of Creation.

Killing Unborn Kids is Hated by God
Look at what God says about one group of people who attacked another group and killed their women and unborn children for personal and collective gain. How much more God must hate it when we kill off our own unborn children for personal gain or convenience.
Amos 1:13-15
"Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
"But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
"And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD."
Amos 1:13-15

Do You Hate the Jews or Want to Fight Against Israel? Beware!
Joel Chapter 3 is one of many places in the Bible by which God warns everyone to bless, support, and honor Israel instead of fighting against the Jews, for they are God's chosen people. Those who fail to heed God's warnings about this matter shall perish in their sin, as you may have just read in those two links.

Who Shall Choose to be Wise?
Hosea 14:8-9
8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
The italicized words "me" and "him" in the above passage refer to THE One True God, the only Self-Existent, Eternal One who is THE LORD, our Creator, the Almighty. Note that the passage verses show a clear differentiation between people who worship any kind of idol and those who acknowledge and worship God according to His Truth. Furthermore, the end of the passage stresses that idol worshippers shall be trapped by their own ignorance of worship and face a payday.
Please be sure that you understand who God is and how to be sure that you are really worshipping Him instead of muddling along in a false religion. May God bless you as you seek Him through His Word.

As Went the Passions of Old Israel, So Goes Our Nation
Would you like to see a God's-eye view of what too many people and politicians are doing these days, and how they are herding us toward utter destruction?
Look back in history. Study the parallels between the downfall of the ancients and you'll see why we are in our present spiritual, moral, economic, and political chaos, today.
Jeremiah 9:3
And they bend their tongues [like] their bow [for] lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 9:23-24
23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise [man] glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty [man] glory in his might, let not the rich [man] glory in his riches:
24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I [am] the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these [things] I delight, saith the LORD.
IF we do not want to repeat history's failures, then we must repent of our sin and return to God Almighty to be saved.
