Memorial Day: Why Did They Die?

Over this Memorial Day Weekend, I was listening to someone reporting about the origin of the Memorial Day holiday. I had either not known or forgotten that, officially, it was started as Decoration Day after the Civil War, to commemorate those who died in combat. Yet, there is a similar, but even more poignant, story that precedes the official call for memorializing the Civil War soldiers who died.

God DOES NOT WANT Us To Die In Our Sin... BUT...

God does NOT WANT us to die in our sin: those who chose to ignore Him shall, but, He promises that anyone and everyone who heeds His invitation to repentance and faith shall live.

Abortion, Idolatry, & US Culture: We Need To Repent

If you want to see a VERY clear picture of the spiritual and moral idolatry in the USA today, look at Ezekiel 16. It even addresses the corruption of our spirits that has led the USA into killing our own children for the sake of our own convenience, which is really what abortion is about. Do NOT fool yourself into thinking that God is only talking about the sin of Israel in this passage, for God has set the Jews and their history before us as an example of what we SHOULD and should NOT do in our relationship with God.

Let us, therefore, examine ourselves and get our lives in order with God, that we might live in truth and peace with Him, both now and hereafter.

Who Doesn't Want Law-abiding Citizens To Be Armed?

Recently, a kind soul forwarded a thought provoking message to me. Here's a paraphrase of that wisdom:

"If you or someone you know are opposed to law-abiding citizens being armed, then you are part of the reason that law-abiding citizens NEED to be armed, because you are inviting those who despise the law to do anything they want without any risk of consequences from those they seek to harm."

Whose Spirit Are We Following?

How can we humans delight in the LORD?

Those Who Now Reject It Shall Search For It Coast to Coast

There are many souls, today, who say that they have no time, interest, or use for The One True God or for His Word. They keep pushing Him and His Word away as inconveniences... at least for now.... However, if those souls live long enough, then the Holy Spirit of Truth shall bring the following Bible passage to pass upon them, and they shall end up running to and fro in the whole earth and NOT be able to find the Word of God to satisfy the longing of their spirit, that shall, then, want peace with God: they shall have pursued the world to the exclusion of God's Word and His will for their lives, and in that lust for the things of the world, God says they shall have proven themselves to be enemies of God.

Amos 8:11-12:
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find [it].

I urge you to make peace with God, NOW, for there is only His Way to peace. Don't choose to be a loser and end up tormented eternally, where God has promised those who reject His Word.
