"...One Nation Under God...?"

There is and has been much mischief going on, even since the Garden of Eden, that seeks to tear down all the good that God has done and that Humanity would follow. If we look up this link, we can see that those who trust in the LORD are going to have the better outcomes in eternity and usually in earthly life, than those who fight against God's Word and His ways. Whether high or low, great or small, we who trust in God's promises can be at peace with Him, abiding in Him and His joy, no matter what is happening around us. We can rely on His promises to guide us through every situation in life, no matter how threatening they appear.

2 Chronicles 32:1-8
1 After these things, and the establishment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.
2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,
3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him.
4 So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
5 Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance.
6 And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying,
7 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:
8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

Jesus said of His followers that we should and would endure the same kind of persecution and suffering as He lived through and died for. Yet, He promised to never leave or forsake us. He keeps that promise, even when we feel as if He is not there, when we look to our flesh and its weakness instead of looking to the Self-existent Eternal God of all, as we should be. Do not despair though the world and earthly things threaten. Look to the one and only Christ of God for God's only plan of salvation. Then and only then shall you be assured of eternal life and peace, even as I and others have trusted in Him and His promises that bring us His "peace that passeth all understanding". Only when all our citizens submit ourselves to the One True God and repent of our evils, shall we truly be "one nation under God" and able to truly ask for His protection and blessing. This is not just true of the USA, but of every nation and every people, for God is not just the God of the USA but of all humanity.
