Shall We Be Free or Slaves?

My dear fellow citizens of these United States of America:

Constitutional Rights? Criminal Predation? or Full-blown Rebellion?

Many folks are concerned about firearms. I'll say right here that there are definitely SOME people who should not have or use them for a host of reasons, such as incompetence, immoral intents, lack of responsible training, BUT ALL responsible law-abiding citizens have the Right to keep and bear arms for defense of self and others. 

Some people are afraid of firearms. Their reasons do not change their irrational fear. Some love firearms. Their reasons do not change their love of arms. Many people have no idea how firearms work and seem to think that firearms can jump off the shelf and go kill people, as if firearms had minds or wills of their own. THAT ignorant view is not reasonable nor rational, since firearms are inanimate objects that require human beings to use them. 

It is NOT rational that firearms get blamed for human driven mal-intent and violence. People, rather than firearms are responsible violence, and people should be held accountable, instead of blaming firearms for human failures.

Terrorists, ISIS Executions, and Hometown Abortions

Most of us despise the acts of terrorists, especially the ISIS beheadings, burnings, and executions, so widely publicized on TV and the internet. Most of us become inflamed with anger over those atrocities. Yet, how often do we think the same way about the thousands of living babies who are poisoned or dismembered daily in their mothers' wombs, within the bounds of our own nation? We may personally or collectively shudder or weep over an individual adult, or over tens or hundreds of adults and young people whom ISIS butchers publicly or privately, but do we ever consider that hometown America abortion executions have killed a terrifying toll of more than 55-60 MILLION American babies?

ONE HUNDRED and FOUR Years of Anti-gun Laws Have Solved NOTHING

All of us who say we are for our Constitution and Rights need to diligently start actively opposing the ongoing issue of Obama Administration and BATF arms and ammo bans. The US Bill of Rights and our Connecticut Constitution’s Article I Section 15 remind us that our Right to self-defense is NOT given to us, nor to be moderated, by the government, but that Right is “inalienable” and natural to our humanity. That God-given Right is for the preservation of self in the conduct of our daily lives and duties, even as the apostle Paul demonstrated when he commented about having survived being “in perils of robbers”, and about having battled with beasts at Ephesus. According to the Bible, evidently, this vital and influential Christian fought for his life on more than one occasion.

Jesus already paid the price for you and your sin. Why not accept the free gift of eternal life that He offers to you. He wants to save you and help you learn to live according to His ways. The powers, influences, and emotions of this world flip and flop, continually, like fish out of water, but you can rely on Christ, because, as the Bible says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." (Hebrews 13:8) Reading the Bible's books of John and Romans will help you start to see these things. 

If you are one who was taught to doubt the New Testament, then read through Genesis, Exodus, Psalms, Proverbs, and Isaiah for a glimpse of what the Old Testament says about the Christ of God. Even if you doubt the Bible, as I once did, seriously ask God to teach you what you need to know about His Word, and then read it through from cover to cover. I know from experience that if you are honest with yourself and with God, and you read through the Bible with an open mind and heart toward God, you'll become a new person.

Oaths Do NOT Come With Expiration Dates

Many, or most, of us have either taken a constitutional oath, or know people who did so at some point in their lives. What is an oath, but a promise to fulfill an obligation. Those of us who signed on with the military, political offices, or other public service jobs such as police, fire, or intelligence services, all put ourselves under oath to serve, support, defend, and protect our Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.That defense of our Constitution includes defense of the Rights stated therein, without exception and without infringement.

One of my blog followers suggested that I tackle the issue of BATF regulated ammo bans, in light of more stringent bans that are supposed to be instituted by the BATF. Anti-gun politicians and their crowd are trying to kill the ownership and use of the AR-15, and its ammo. Personally, I could care less about owning an AR-15, but I completely disapprove of this lame duck presidency and its anti-Rights cronies' desperate attempts to ram unconstitutional nonsense down the throat of every law-abiding citizen of this nation!! Their only argument is fear and control, yet they neglect Law, reason, and science. They have no constitutional right nor mandate to infringe on the Second Amendment! They are in violation and must be held accountable for their treason against our Constitution. Law-abiding citizens must NOT allow the government officials to continue their unconstitutional assault against us and our Civil Rights!!

Back in the late Nineteen-Sixties, an Army buddy told me one of his dad’s favorite sayings. I won’t quote its original worldly content, but, as you can see from the title of this article, its inherently wise principle has helped me explain many things to many people.

As I publish comments about unconstitutional attacks on our Civil Rights, I get feedback and emails from well-intended people who use a lot of angry name calling, complaining, and finger pointing about the ongoing attacks against our constitutional Rights. Also, I get frustrated, fearful, and apathetic comments, as well as comments from people who feel that their only option is to try to find a ‘safe’ place to hide, as if this current civil rights war were a summer shower that will soon blow past, even though it has been going on for over eighty to one hundred years.
