Today's report from a friend in the CT legislature states that Governor Malloy's 2015 anti-gun bill 650 was defeated last night when Democrats panicked and withdrew 650. The Democrats withdrew 650 because conservative pro-rights legislators attached an amendment to 650 calling for the full repeal of the 2013 anti-rights bill SB1160.
Today there's an ignorant and inflammatory stink in some media claiming that pro-rights legislators care nothing for victims of violent crime. At least one anti-rights group (CAPS) was whining on Twitter, blaming CT Senator Joe Markley for our successful rejection of the Governor's unconstitutional legislation, even though Malloy's bill lacked proper constitutionally mandated due process provisions.
All of us who appreciate our constitutional liberties need to publically support and defend Senator Markley and all brave legislators who stand and defend our Constitution. Use your various media to get the word out, as Markley is coming under heavy fire.
