Jade Helm 15: Off-base Training With Off-base Focus

Numerous media are questioning the real scope and purpose of those operations, and Jade Helm 15 is being hotly debated. Despite official governmental assurances about the supposed benign domestic nature and implications of the summer-long operations, as one reads through the myriad of articles and postings about Jade Helm 15, it appears that many civilians, veterans, and even some active military are not comfortable with the implications and scope of these types of operations being conducted off the grounds of military bases and within US cities. For some reason, researching about Jade Helm 15 reminds me too much of CIA and other governmental agencies that have experimented on US populations in the past, about which there is now plenty of reliable information available to the public.

Look at the reported map of where the Jade Helm 15 exercises are supposed to operate. One has to wonder why they picked strongly pro-rights and pro-arms areas of the USA, instead of choosing to run their drills in anti-gun liberal havens, such as Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C. I pose this question because, if the Jade Helm 15 operations are really being conducted to sharpen military skills and tactics to protect us and the military from foreign or domestic terrorists, as the government claims, then it is a serious strategic error to run the drills in strongly pro-firearms areas that would readily fight back against military or terrorist incursions. People who are already armed hardly need to be defended, for they would surely stand up and fight for themselves.

On the other hand it is the liberal anti-gun areas of our nation that would be the hardest hit if our nation is ever invaded or if terrorist cells erupt to damage our infrastructure and our constitutional way of life. Almost by definition, terrorists hide and do their damage where they think they can strike effectively to cause the most fear and chaos. Anti-gun groups are already working as hard as they can to render themselves and their locales defenseless against foreign and domestic criminals and terrorists. It then follows that those who would love to disrupt our society would focus on disrupting the anti-gun locales where they are almost guaranteed a greater likelihood of success. Therefore, logically, the military should be double-timing away from pro-firearms areas and heading straight to the hearts of all the anti-gun enclaves to see how those increasingly defenseless areas would respond during the simulation exercises that are planned for Summer 2015.
